The Register of Deeds office administers notary public oaths for Cumberland County notaries anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Also, the office makes a variety of notary forms available to the general public, including applications for initial appointment, reappointment, and change of name/change of address. These three are linked below. Please feel free to print out and complete the appropriate application. The completed form will be mailed to the NC Secretary of State office, Notary Division, for processing. Next, you will receive a notice to be sworn in at the Register of Deeds office.  The notary oath fee is $10.
